EE students and faculty visited the Anritsu manufacturing site in Morgan Hill, CA

February 06, 2019

EE students and faculty visited the Anritsu manufacturing site in Morgan Hill, CA on Thursday January 31, 2019.    Anritsu (https://www.anritsu.com/en-US/) manufactures radio frequency and microwave electronic test and measurement equipment for the communication system industry.    The tour started with lectures on next generation 5G communication systems and the test and measurement tools that needed to make this next generation of data intensive networks possible.    The group then toured the thin-film circuit fabrication, mechanical operations and electronics assembly portions of Anritsu's facility in Morgan Hill.    Finally, the entire tour group took the attached picture before parting back to San Luis Obispo.    This was a great learning event for all.   Anritsu continues to be a strong supporter of the Electrical Engineering department and has recently donated microscopes, soldering stations, and surface-mount circuit board equipment to outfit an electronics-manufacturing lab at Cal Poly.
