Dean Arakaki and students tour Anritsu
February 13, 2008
Dear EE Department,
Thank you for supporting our trip to Anritsu Company in Morgan Hill, CA on Thursday, Jan 31. Nine EE students and I met with Anritsu engineers to tour the company's RF machining and manufacturing facilities. The visit was organized by Cal Poly alumnus, IAB member, and Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Calvin Carter.
We toured the company's extensive manufacturing facilities; the tour leaders were Cal Poly graduates (Hai Nguyen and Elijah Jones) now employed at Anritsu. We toured the company's numerically-controlled (NC) machine shop, RF assembly areas, and environmental testing facilities. We also attended a company-sponsored lunch with ten Cal Poly alumni; the group included graduates from 1984 to 2007.
