Cal Poly Connects to the International Space Station

April 02, 2012

Students had the opportunity to speak directly to the ISS, learn more about life in space, and got a glance at some of the cool projects from several Engineering Clubs. Students from the Atascadero 4-H club, a 5th grade class and Boy Scout troop from San Luis Obispo attended the event at the Advanced Technology Lab on the Cal Poly Campus. Elementary school students from King City connected to a live feed and listened in on the exchange between the Space Station and Cal Poly students. A special thanks to the Cal Poly Amateur Radio Club for their efforts in presenting this amazing opportunity to Cal Poly faculty, staff, and students and to the K-12 students in our community.
