CubeSat P-POD Isolation Testing

Cal Poly's CubeSat program engineers characterized the P-POD (Poly Picosatellite Orbital Deployer) in Cal Poly's Antenna Anechoic Chamber Lab on August 2 and 30, 2012 to quantify the P-POD's effectiveness in containing emissions from CubeSat systems. The P‑POD houses three CubeSat units and launches them into orbit around Earth.

96 Amateur Radio Licenses Granted at Cal Poly Licensing Session

On Friday, November 4, 2011, a record 114 Electrical Engineering freshman students from Cal Poly attempted their FCC amateur radio technician-class license exam in the largest amateur radio licensing event ever in San Luis Obispo County. A record-breaking 96 students succeeded in passing the official exam and joined the next generation of Ham Radio Operators in the US.
