Qualifications
- Strong understanding of electrical circuit analysis, design, and test fundamentals
- Some programming experience in languages such as Basic, C, C++, Verilog and VHDL
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong Debug and problem solving skills
- Understand the function and operation of basic test equipment including Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, Multi-meters, Function Generators, and Logic Analyzers
- Some understanding of differential signaling, transmission line theory, board design
- Understand the function and operation of Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, and Agilent ParBERT equipment including Data Generators/Analyzers and Clock Modules
- Experience with LabVIEW and LabWindows automation software
- Experience working in a lab environment
Job Description
- Develop unique and sometimes complex bench characterization test methodologies for Serializer/Deserializers, Cross Point Switches, and High Speed Receiver Equalizer Devices in order to determine and verify the device’s performance across Manufacturing Process, Voltage, and Temperature combinations for the datasheet parameters.
- Develop and write automated code to control all test equipment during the collection and processing of characterization data which can run up to 24 hours or longer.
- Perform Design Evaluation and Bench Characterization for High Speed Analog Interface devices still in development servicing the Consumer Electronics (High Definition TV’s, DVD and Gaming products, Cell Phones, etc.), Optical Networking, Wireless Infrastructure, and Data Communications industries.
- Design and develop circuit boards that maintain excellent Signal Integrity to enable design evaluation and characterization of High Speed Analog Interface devices and Customer Evaluation Modules.
