As an OF Manufacturing Development Engineer, you will apply your Electrical Engineering coursework to a variety of focused hands-on projects. You will be part of a team that designs, develops, and tests RF and microwave test equipment. The NPI Manufacturing Development Engineering team provides hardware and software engineering support during new product development, introduction, launch, and stabilization. Your focus will be both instrument and manufacturing process development. Your job responsibilities will include reviewing and contributing to hardware and system designs during the product development phase, development of test and calibration methodology, development of automated test and calibration test code, diagnostics and functional verification test, system integration, and qualification. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and stabilization of a wide range of analog circuitry that could include basic power and control circuits, amplifiers, filters, ALC loops, phase lock loops, and nonlinear systems covering frequencies from DC to 50 GHz. Additionally, you will assist in instrument architecture decisions with senior engineers, assist with vendor and component selection, and partner with other functional areas to troubleshoot problems.

Qualifications
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
Experience and Skills:
- A solid educational foundation in analog/digital electronic circuit design.
- Experience with analog circuit analysis and design, CAD schematic tools, circuit simulation tools, and design evaluation.
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts in both written and oral form.
- Measurement experience in one or more of the following areas: signal analyzers, signal generators, I/Q generation, time domain analysis, and vector network analysis.
- Knowledge of communication systems, including architectural tradeoffs and partitioning impacts.
- Experience with DC through RF/ Microwave measurement systems.
- Commitment to excellence, dedication, team player, self-motivation, and good communication skills.
Additional Desired Skills:
- Experience in RF/Microwave design
- Experience in block diagram design for up converter & down converter type products
- Knowledge /experience with DSP, digital, and programmable logic design
