As a Design Engineer II you will become quickly involved in project assignments and engineering initiatives in support of product development. Your first year at Parker will be a time of learning about our technical products and applying your college education to real-world engineering solutions. For the first nine months, you will be spending about half-time in mentorships and rotations to accelerate your learning about Parker, its products, and overall product development processes. Your technical assignments will guide and prepare you to take on challenges that are meaningful and significant. Your enthusiasm and energy for learning quickly and efficiently will be a key to visibility and project scope expansion. You will receive the individual training and personal coaching you need to start well. These broad and beneficial experiences at Parker will be stepping stones to an exciting engineering career.
Design Engineer II: Systems (Graduate Program)
Position Summary:
- Applies electrical engineering education to technical assignments
- With general direction, gains experience with and knowledge of Parker products, processes, systems, and customer requirements
Responsibilities:
- Able to follow technical directions
- Lead personal and small group projects
- Able to perform analysis to support design decisions
- Document progress and activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (BS) in electrical or systems engineering, or related technical discipline
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through one year or less of related experience
- Quick learner; adaptive to new environments; self-starter
- Practical perspective to engineering education
- Team spirit and group project experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
