Description
This individual will serve as a QA Team Member to assist in synthesizing design input from various stakeholders (Customer, Clinical, Regulatory, Research, Human Factors, etc.) and defining overall system behavior.
Working without appreciable supervision, is responsible for performing professional level technical work within the design assurance profession. Designs and oversees the implementation of Qualification and Process Validation Test Plans/Reports. Analyzes/evaluates the performance of devices that have been proposed by the Program teams.
Performs hands-on, bench-type and automated tests in addition to evaluations conducted by internal/external Test and Failure Analysis labs to characterize external and implantable performance of the medical device. Captures and maintains system-level behavior and constraint requirements to drive detailed design activity. Ensures subsystem development and integration progresses consistent with system-level definition. Develops and implements strategy to validate resulting system against customer requirements, focusing on subsystem integration. Confirms fitness of system for clinical use. Drives resolution of system-level issues and implementation trade-offs. Responsible for the overall quality of the system, its performance against customer requirements and its on schedule delivery.
This individual applies engineering and scientific principles to testplans, evaluation of test data, analyzes cause of failures, suggests corrective/preventative actions and writes up results. Work requires the application of theoretical principles and creative/analytical techniques typically acquired in a recognized four-year or more academic course of study. Applies engineering and scientific principles to the evaluation and solution of technical problems. Remains abreast of and consults on technical advancements. Identifies and routinely uses the most effective, cost efficient and best practices to execute processes; continually evaluates their effectiveness and appropriateness.
Requirements/Education: BS degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical etc.), or in a physical science, a related field, or equivalent. Requires comprehensive written and verbal communication, interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, quantitative, analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills, the ability to meet deadlines on multiple projects as well as the ability to converse effectively with all levels of employees. Advanced personal computer skills including spreadsheet, word processing database management, and specialized applications. Evaluation, originality and/or ingenuity required.
Desired Requirements: An advanced credential in a relevant discipline/concentration. Professional certification or designation. Experience in a regulated medical industry. COOP experience is extremely beneficial.

Message to Dr. Dan Walsh,
We currently only have 4 people signed up for each opportunity, and I would like a full schedule of 10 plus. We are doing an infosession Thursday eve in the ATL at 6:30pm and interviewing on Friday. The name of the company is Advanced Bionics and we are a cochlear implant company for deaf and near deaf individuals.
